Rikki and Michael Engagement Pictures!

You know that feeling you get when you shoot a wedding and realize that you haven't even posted their engagement pictures on your photography blog?!  OK, so maybe you don't, but it's a lot like the feeling of having a party that you never got around to sending the invitations for.

Which I may have also done in the past month.

Ahem.

SO, Rikki and Michael got married yesterday and had a beautiful wedding, but I need to rewind a little and post their engagement pictures.

We met at the beautiful San Marcos de Apalache St. Park for their engagement pictures.  This is my current favorite place to take pictures because... the beautiful river!  the old architecture!  the plants!  the colors!  the textures!  We had a really great time with their shoot, and even discovered that Michael has an inner photographer that is really good at positioning!

Thanks, Rikki and Michael, for letting me capture these memories for you!  Your wedding was beautiful, and I look forward to being able to share some of it, too!

Tadiparthi Family Pictures

This shoot is special because, not only was this my first time officially working with this beautiful family after seeing them at several parties, but it was also my first gift certificate shoot!  One of my clients gave this shoot to Ravi and his wife as a gift for their 10th Anniversary.  I can't think of a better gift for someone than memories!  Details on the gift certificate packages I have available are on my website

We met at the Tadiparthis home to start the shoot, and we moved to a local part half-way through.  This was a wonderful family to work with!

Melanie's Maternity Pictures

When my friend, Melanie, was just a week or so away from her due date and I had not yet taken a single maternity picture of her yet, I was beginning to panic.  After all, friends don't let friends have babies without first taking their picture, right???  But, fortunately, we were able to squeeze in a few pictures one afternoon that I babysat her youngest son, Jack, so that she could go to the doctor.  We did what we could around my house in the elusive, end-of-the-day lighting.

Melanie's husband, Brad, was at work but I told Melanie to steal Brad's ring for the day!

The only way we could get Jack to stay still was on this thing!

As a mom of 3 boys, Melanie's getting used to having to live by the masculine theme!

Thanks, Melanie, for letting me snag some pics of you and Jack!  Baby Will is such a cutie and I will be sharing newborn pictures soon!  :-)
